Kochuveli-Dehradun Weekly Express/12287, Kochuveli-Amritsar Express/12483, Kerala Sampark Kranti Express/12217, Kerala Express/12625, Trivandrum-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani etc are some of the major trains linking Kerala to the major cities of the country.

Kerala has about 145,704 km of roads consists of 4.2% of India’s total roadways which are easily accessible by road from any part of the country. National highways 47, 17 and 40 crisscross the landscapes of the state. Road density of the state is four times the national average reflecting the high population density of the state. Good motarable network of roads connects Kerala with the other major state of the country.
